Recyc PHP reclaims materials that are used in socks for different types of liquid absorption.
Water-absorbing Socks
For his water-absorbing socks, Recyc PHP benefits from its absorbent pellets, a material that absorbs 25 times its weight in water. Depending on the number of pellets used, our socks can absorb 5 to 30 liters of water per sock. Socks requiring specific characteristics can be produced on request.
Utilisation Examples
- Contain water leaks (buildings, transport (frozen products, sludge), etc.)
- Contain water condensation (compressor, compressed air filter)
- Prevents spills or recovery of aqueous products in industries (inks in the printing industries, acids)
- Dry up a field before an activity (baseball games, festivals, family activities or transplantation)

Oil Absorbent Socks
Since the absorbent pellets are effective only for water-based liquid, Recyc PHP uses its contaminated cellulose fibers to manufacture oil absorbent socks. This material absorbs 10 times its weight in oil and 7 times its weight in water. These socks must be used on the ground to contain an oil spill. Socks can be manufactured to customer specifications.
